Returning & New players conditioning clinic Tuesday, March 17th at Edison Johnson Gym 600 W. Murray Avenue Durham, 27704
Please save the date. Our first 2015 indoor conditioning clinic and equipment donation from Good Sports along with early registration for new and returning players. 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
We will have registration forms on hand. You will need to bring a copy of your report card, school ID or picture if we don’t have one, and $25 registration fee. New players will need a copy of their birth certificate, report card, school ID or picture and $25. Please feel free to invite any new players that want to participate in Long Ball this year.
In order for us to make this possible we need volunteer coaches for these softball teams and players. We have reached out to the middle school Athletic Directors and ask them to forward this information to their softball coaches. We hope to have at least 4 teams and take the top 15 players to the Regional this year. Please help us spread he word and more information about registration for returning baseball players and new softball players to come.
If someone is interested in coaching softball please give them my phone number (919)236-3101 as we will be having an interest meeting in the near future to discuss the details. Thanks for your support in getting the word out and we look forward to seeing you this season.

Last night (November 17, 2014) Damion Moore and Randy Wadsworth, owners of Dame’s Chicken and Waffles, welcomed seven honored guests and their friends to the Second Annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration at their Durham location. The honorees were selected by their respective organizations as one of Durham’s most dedicated volunteers. Their dedication to the community, their passion for helping others and the sacrifices made in their personal lives did not go unnoticed by Dame’s Chicken and Waffles. Damion Moore and Randy Wadsworth saluted and thanked them for all that they did to keep this community strong.

Pat James nominated her sister, Juanita Johnson, at the Second Annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration. Pat and her mother both attended the celebration and dinner where Juanita received the award of 2014 Volunteer of the Year for her work with Long Ball Program – Durham Triple Play Leagues.
We have had many to show an interest in participating in Fall ball with Long Ball Durham Triple Play. We are glad to have the opportunity to continue working with our youth for off-season training and player development.

Sunday, October 19th Lo K Shun Band will be performing as a fundraiser for Long Ball. Doors open at 7:00 pm show starts at 8:00 – 9:00 pm, second show from 10:00 – 11:00 pm. Tickets $10 at the door $12. Please feel free to bring snacks for your table. Located at the Elks Lodge, 2311 S. Alston Avenue, Durham, NC.
